International Cooperation

BENIN

  • Mobility, mutual reinforcement and structuring of the mechanical engineering and bakery sectors
The first objective of this project in the municipalities of Lokossa and Abomey Calavi is to combine the mobility of learners in mechanics and bakery to and from Benin. The aim is also to strengthen the skills of each group, promote education in citizenship and international solidarity, and structure vocational training in these two sectors.

  • FEF + project in Bénin
As part of the FEF+ Benin programme, led by CMA Benin in partnership with CMA France and funded by the French Embassy in Benin and the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, CMA des Pays de la Loire has trained several dozen Beninese trainers and craftspeople in the fields of automotive mechanics and fuel injection systems.

  • Pilot project on the green transition in the automotive maintenance sector in Bénin
This project has enhanced the employability of young people in Benin and supported the creation of sustainable jobs in the vehicle maintenance sector, through a partnership between the CMA organisations of the Pays de la Loire and Benin and the INSTI in Benin. The project has enabled the implementation of a training programme covering new hybrid technologies, cleaner diesel engines and entrepreneurship.

CMA Pays de la Loire helped to build the capacity of Beninese trainers in mechanics and in supporting business start-up projects. These trainers, in turn, trained their own learners.

  • Organisational development and capacity-building for the artisans of the Court of King Glélé, Royal Palaces of Abomey
CMA des Pays de la Loire is supporting the artisans of the Court of King Glélé in setting up as an association and in developing their technical skills (weaving, bronze work, tapestry) and entrepreneurial skills (communication, business relations, stand design, pricing, bookkeeping), as part of the Musée des Rois et des Amazones du Danxomè (MuRAD) project, co-funded by AFD (Expertise France).

  • Digitalisation and sustainability of apprenticeships in the automotive and entrepreneurship sectors
The aim of this project is to support the development and digitisation of training courses in entrepreneurship and automotive professions at higher levels. Through this project several training reference sources and modules have been developed in mechanics and entrepreneurship. Further initiatives linked to FONEA to support the development of vocational training and labour market integration are being considered.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              Company visits with mechanical engineering instructors from CEFA Jean-Pierre DAUNAY in Pointe-Noire and experts from CMA Pays de la Loire, October 2023

  • Learners can take part in international mobility projects lasting from 1 week to 12 months during or at the end of their apprenticeship.
  • Staff and apprenticeship supervisors can carry out mobility projects lasting a few days in order to exchange ideas and discover professional practices.

The aim is to offer high-quality cooperation projects, as well as European and international mobility projects, in order to contribute to the enhancement of individual skills and career paths, and thus facilitate professional integration.
